About The Position

Trane Technologies is hiring a Senior Rental Account Manager to assist a Trane office and develop and grow its temporary solutions (rental) business. The role focuses on creating sales opportunities for emergency response rentals and cooling contingency plans, while expanding into planned, seasonal, and special-event rentals and other non-emergency markets. The manager develops technical solutions and rental proposals based on customer needs and the available equipment offering, coordinates with Rental Services teams on market strategies, and works with the fulfillment team on shipments and returns. Customer-site travel is required and can involve outdoor work or mechanical and equipment rooms. The role is designated Safety Sensitive and may require additional drug screening. The position is onsite Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, employees may choose their work location according to work needs.

Requirements

An equivalent combination of education and experience, or a bachelor’s degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) in engineering, engineering technology, business, or an equivalent field from a four-year college or university.
At least 3 years of experience in commercial HVAC systems or rental equipment/services.
A valid, in-state driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations. The posting lists DUI, hit-and-run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, and preventable collisions in the previous 3 years as examples.

Responsibilities

Develop and close sales opportunities to grow emergency response rentals and cooling contingency plans, and expand into planned, seasonal, special-event, and other non-emergency rental markets.
Create accurate and timely technical solutions based on customers’ temporary needs and specifications and the existing rental equipment offering.
Develop rental quotes from initial request through proposal, including equipment quotes and complete turnkey solution proposals.
Work with Rental Services teams to develop and coordinate vertical market strategies for temporary solutions in the assigned market.
Coordinate shipments to job sites and returns from job sites with the Rental Services fulfillment team.
Travel to customer job sites, including locations that may involve outdoor work or mechanical and equipment rooms.
