About The Position

Trane Technologies is hiring a Rental Services Account Manager to support a Trane office and develop and grow the temporary solutions (rental) business. The role focuses on finding and closing sales opportunities for emergency response rentals and cooling contingency plans, as well as expanding into planned, seasonal, and special-event rental markets. The account manager develops technical solutions and rental proposals based on customer needs and the available equipment offering, collaborates with Rental Services teams on vertical-market strategies, and coordinates equipment shipments and returns with the fulfillment team.

The position follows a hybrid work arrangement: onsite Monday through Thursday, with flexibility to choose the work location on Fridays based on work needs. Travel to customer job sites is required. Site visits may involve outdoor work or mechanical/equipment rooms and exposure to variable weather, moving mechanical parts, heights, and other environmental conditions.

Requirements

• Equivalent combination of education and experience, or a bachelor's degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) in engineering, engineering technology, business, or an equivalent field from a four-year college or university.
• At least 3 years of experience in commercial HVAC systems or rental equipment/services.
• Valid in-state driver's license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations, including specified serious offenses or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Develop and close sales opportunities for emergency response rentals, cooling contingency plans, and planned, seasonal, and special-event rentals.
• Create accurate, timely technical solutions based on customer temporary needs and specifications and the existing rental equipment offering.
• Develop rental quotes from initial request through proposal, including equipment quotes and complete turnkey solution proposals.
• Work with Rental Services teams to develop and coordinate vertical-market strategies for temporary solutions in the assigned market.
• Coordinate shipments to and returns from jobs with the Rental Services fulfillment team.
• Travel to customer job sites as required.
