About The Position

The Rental Prep Tech assists with the day-to-day operations of the rental mechanics by preparing outgoing rental equipment. The role performs quality assurance, maintenance, and refurbishment on air chain hoists, hand chain hoists, lever hoists, trolleys, beam clamps, Modulift spreader bars, hydraulic rams, jacks, pumps, air winches, and rigging hardware.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• High attention to detail.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Highly organized, ideally in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate a forklift or manlift equipment.
• Ability to work with a high degree of precision and control.
• Diagnostic skills and understanding of wear tolerances and retirement criteria.
• Ability to read and interpret parts manuals and production orders with mechanical instructions.
• Strong mechanical reasoning and aptitude, including knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric-powered machinery, force dynamics, and spatial relations.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance on finished rental equipment before it is sent out.
• Train incoming mechanics on proper rigging techniques for rental equipment and other best practices.
• Maintain and repair material handling machinery.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding repairs.
• Perform other functions as required.
