About The Position

The Rental Prep Painter maintains and refurbishes mechanical assemblies and rental equipment. The role performs quality assurance on rental equipment before it is sent out, maintains and repairs machinery and material-handling equipment, and paints fabricated products according to requirements. The position also coordinates with Inside Sales to meet deadlines and works with the Operations Manager to maintain appropriate spare-parts and accessories stock. The employee evaluates repairs and recommends appropriate action while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to work in elevated areas.
• Ability to use hand tools and trade-type tools.
• Ability to identify and resolve mechanical problems.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance on finished rental equipment before it is sent out.
• Coordinate with Inside Sales to ensure deadlines are met.
• Work with the Operations Manager to maintain proper stocking levels of spare parts and department accessories.
• Maintain and refurbish pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrically powered machinery.
• Maintain and repair material-handling machinery.
• Paint fabricated products according to requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Evaluate repairs and make recommendations.
• Perform other functions as required.
