About The Position

Selking International and Selking Idealease are seeking an experienced, driven, customer-focused Rental Manager to lead the Rental Department at the Fort Wayne, Indiana dealership. The Rental Manager oversees day-to-day department operations and is accountable for revenue, expense control, and profitability goals. The role develops rental sales and marketing, maintains customer relationships, manages the rental fleet, coordinates maintenance and compliance, oversees rental transactions and billing, and leads the rental sales and counter team. The position reports to the Idealease General Manager. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven sales ability and a passion for customer service.
Leadership experience, including the ability to hire, train, and motivate a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with billing, records, and reporting.
Comfort with Microsoft Office and internet-based applications.
Ability to build cooperation and goodwill with coworkers and departments.
Professional and courteous conduct with customers and employees, including when handling difficult issues.
Honesty and dependability in company dealings.
Efficiency, accuracy, and ability to complete work on time.
Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities as assigned.
Ability to attend company meetings and travel to Idealease corporate training in Chicago, Illinois.

Nice To Haves

College degree strongly preferred.
Rental management experience strongly preferred; equipment, truck, or vehicle rental experience is a plus.
Knowledge of commercial trucks, DOT regulations, or the transportation industry is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Run day-to-day operations of the Idealease Rental Department and manage revenue, expense control, and profitability goals.
Develop and carry out a rental sales and marketing plan using phone outreach, mailers, and in-person customer visits.
Grow and maintain relationships with high-volume rental customers.
Set competitive rental rates based on market analysis.
Manage the rental fleet using daily yard checks to track utilization and direct sales efforts toward under-used equipment.
Work with the Service Department to keep rental units maintained to company standards and DOT regulations.
Oversee check-in and check-out, customer and vehicle files, insurance verification, credit procedures, and accurate, timely billing.
Hire, train, and lead the rental sales and counter team.
Track monthly results against the business plan and help prepare the Annual Business Plan.
Attend company meetings and travel to Idealease corporate training in Chicago, Illinois.
