About The Position

The Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of a small depot, personally executing and coordinating workflows because of the reduced team size and the absence of specialised units. The role is 70–80% hands-on and supports smooth operations, strong customer service, accurate documentation, and fleet readiness. It also includes responsibility for depot cost control, including efficient use of consumables, prevention of unnecessary expenses, minimisation of rework, and disciplined operational spending.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in fast-paced operations, logistics, rental, hospitality, or customer-facing environments.
• Strong hands-on operational capability and ability to step into daily depot workflows.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise, and handle physical tasks during high-volume periods.
• Driving licence (Category B) required.
• English proficiency is mandatory.
• Able to lift or move light-to-moderate items weighing 10–15 kg and stand, walk, and move around the depot for long periods.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and peak periods, and to work extended shifts during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate rental workflows, including check-in, check-out, documentation, cleaning, maintenance, and system updates.
• Track daily KPIs.
• Promote ancillary products through value-based selling.
• Conduct basic RV and van checks, including batteries, water systems, gas, lights, and tyres.
• Promptly escalate complex technical or mechanical problems to regional servicing teams.
• Maintain accurate fleet status and readiness in operational systems.
• Coordinate daily shifts, priorities, and task allocation across the small team.
• Demonstrate standard operating procedures and support onboarding tasks for new hires.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of RVs for sales appointments.
• Control depot costs by efficiently using consumables, preventing unnecessary expenses, minimising rework, and maintaining disciplined operational spending.
