Renewals Manager

Catapult Sports•Boston, MA

About The Position

Catapult is seeking an experienced, hands-on Renewals Manager to build and lead its first global Renewals team. Based in Boston, this customer-facing role guides renewals from initial conversation through signature, working in close partnership with the Business Development Manager who owns each customer relationship. The manager will establish the processes, forecasting cadence, and team culture needed to make renewals predictable, while leading Renewal Specialists across regions and owning retention outcomes for the portfolio. The role partners closely with Business Development Managers, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, Commercial Operations, Deal Desk, and Revenue Operations to make renewals timely, accurate, and competitive. Alongside managing the team, the Renewals Manager stays involved in customer work by participating in complex, strategic, or at-risk renewals and managing a portfolio when needed. This is an opportunity to build the function from the ground up, define how success is measured, and help specialists develop their careers.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of customer-facing experience in renewals, account management, sales, or revenue operations at a SaaS or technology company.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or managing a team.
  • A track record of owning retention and renewal targets and improving them through process, coaching, and data.
  • Strong commercial skills, including pricing, contract terms, customer and procurement negotiations, and price-uplift strategy.
  • Ability to work in a shared-ownership model, partnering with sales colleagues who own customer relationships while driving renewal outcomes and timelines.
  • Comfort with CRM, reporting, and forecasting tools such as Salesforce or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills, including confidence presenting to customers and executives and coordinating across time zones and regions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Renewal Specialists, including hiring, onboarding, goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and development; help define career progression as the team grows.
  • Lead complex, strategic, or at-risk customer renewals alongside the Business Development Manager, and manage a portfolio of renewals when needed.
  • Own gross revenue retention, net revenue retention, logo retention, and on-time renewal rate across the portfolio, with a plan to reduce late renewals.
  • Establish a reliable renewal forecasting cadence, provide accurate commitments at 90 and 30 days out, and report status, risks, and opportunities to commercial leadership.
  • Create repeatable playbooks covering the renewal lifecycle, including customer engagement around 120 days before renewal, quoting, contracting, procurement, and signature.
  • Create a seasonal renewal calendar by sport and region in coordination with relevant internal teams.
  • Coordinate renewal work with Business Development Managers, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, Deal Desk, and Revenue Operations.
