About The Position

The Renewal Specialist negotiates and finalizes lease renewals with current residents in an assigned market. The role delivers customer service throughout the renewal process while working toward renewal metrics and goals set by market leadership. It also provides administrative support to the regional department and assists with special projects as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active real estate license.
• Broad residential leasing knowledge.
• Proven experience in customer service or administrative functions.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective customer service and conflict resolution skills.
• Technological proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the property management or maintenance industry is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Initiate communication with current residents to discuss and present lease renewal options.
• Negotiate lease renewals in accordance with asset management guidelines and renewal targets.
• Address resident inquiries and concerns throughout the renewal process, providing outstanding customer service.
• Prepare and process lease documents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Foster a collaborative and professional working environment with colleagues, supervisors, and external parties.
• Provide administrative support, including clerical tasks, data entry, and document processing.
• Assist with special projects as required.
• Support department staff within the assigned region as needed.
