Removal Check In/Out Clerk
About The Position
MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products and sells the items individually to the public through online auctions. The Removal Check In/Out Clerk works within the Removal Team, scanning customers as they arrive to pick up merchandise and scanning items as customers leave with their pickups. The Removal Team provides every winning bidder with exemplary service. This position reports to the Removal Team Lead. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. The required on-site schedule is Monday through Friday: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Shifts are 8 hours with a 30-minute lunch break.
Requirements
- Available to work on-site Monday through Friday on the required schedule.
- Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Able to lift 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with a team lift.
- Able to follow written directions and company policies.
- Tech-savvy.
- Highly organized.
- Detail-oriented.
- Customer-focused.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Scan each customer’s email or phone code using a scan device upon arrival at the warehouse.
- Explain to customers that scanning places them in the queue so they can check out after picking up their items.
- Scan each customer’s auction items when they are picked up.
- Provide a positive customer experience that encourages customers to continue bidding.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
