This short-term, non-partisan session position provides remote meeting support for legislative and other Capitol meetings that are fully remote or hybrid. The Remote Meeting Coordinator works with the Audio/Video team to ensure remote functionality is set up and tested before meetings, then assists legislators and public participants in taking part. Coordinators are assigned to committees based on availability and meeting schedules and work closely with legislative staff to identify remote participants. Training will be provided, but the coordinator must understand and follow the decorum and rules of order for legislative committee meetings. Timeliness and dependability are essential to help meetings begin and end on schedule. The position works on an as-needed basis, with hours varying from 20 to 40 per week depending on assigned committees and scheduled events. The Remote Meeting Manager works with staff to establish requested hours and schedules. The coordinator uses Zoom to support remote participation and interactions among the Committee Chair, members, staff, and participants. The coordinator also works with Office of Information Services staff to troubleshoot technical issues. This is a 100% remote position, but the employee must reside in Montana. Training is expected sometime in mid-December, with the legislative session beginning January 4, 2027. Applicants must provide a resume; incomplete applications will not be passed on to the screening team.
