About The Position

FOX News Media is seeking a Remote Coordinator for its Resource Operations Center (ROC), which processes inbound and outbound audio and video signals. The coordinator connects IFBs, establishes production bridges, troubleshoots with vendor studios and field crews, quality-controls live shots, and books or changes transmissions between remote studios. The role requires understanding IFB signal flow, studio equipment, and transmission paths, along with continuous multitasking, troubleshooting, and communication across departments to keep teams informed of technical issues. Work takes place in a fast-changing breaking-news environment. One of two schedules will be offered: Tuesday to Saturday, 1 p.m.–9 p.m. (8-hour shift), or Wednesday to Saturday, 11 a.m.–9 p.m. (10-hour shift).

Requirements

Strong understanding of satellite, fiber, IP, and cellular transmissions.
Solid understanding of IFB and studio equipment.
In-depth knowledge of coordinating transmission lines between studios.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot live audio/video feeds quickly and effectively so they can get on air in a constantly evolving breaking-news environment.
Work with control rooms to ensure live in-studio guests are ready for air.
Coordinate and troubleshoot with other departments to help reporters and guests make air in a deadline-driven environment.
Book transmission lines between studios and communicate changes to the appropriate departments.
Connect IFBs, establish production bridges, troubleshoot with vendor studios and field crews, and quality-control live shots.
