Petco is seeking relief veterinarians for Vetco Vaccination Clinics and Vetco Total Care full-service veterinary hospitals. Veterinarians can use flexible online scheduling to select available shifts that fit their needs; there is no minimum or maximum number of shifts. They may set their own rate for each shift and continue practice activities outside their Petco shifts without agency fees. The appointment-based model helps manage patient flow and supports leaving on time, while trained staff handle clinic operations so veterinarians can focus on patient care. Vetco Vaccination Clinics provide basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and microchip placement. They do not provide surgery, emergency care, or illness care. Locations are primarily inside Petco stores, with some in mobile van units. Vetco Total Care hospitals provide preventive care, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. Hospital equipment includes digital dental X-rays, Butterfly IQ+ Vet ultrasound imaging, and surgery suites with heated hydraulic tables and full anesthesia monitoring. Hospital staff are licensed and trained, and there are no overnight or emergency on-call shifts. Relief veterinarians receive clinic news, policy updates, and product announcements through a monthly newsletter, and a 15% discount on Petco products and services. Colorado state bid rates average $89.00–$112.00 per hour; shift rates may vary by clinic location and shift duration.
