About The Position

Animal Emergency Center of Yorktown Virginia is a privately owned clinic providing emergency and critical care for small animals and some exotic pets. The clinic is seeking relief veterinarians to join its four-DVM team. The practice offers laser therapy, hospitalization, bloodwork using an Abaxis blood machine, and most emergency surgeries. The role is for veterinarians experienced in emergency medicine who are compassionate, team-oriented, and strong communicators. Available shifts are Wednesday and Thursday overnights (6 PM–8 AM or 4 PM–midnight) and Saturday and Sunday day shifts (8 AM–6 PM).

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Active veterinary state license.
• Experience in emergency medicine.
• Compassionate, team-oriented approach and strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Current DEA license (preferred but not required).
• USDA accreditation (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and critical veterinary care for small animals and some exotic pets.
• Work scheduled relief shifts: Wednesday and Thursday overnights or Saturday and Sunday day shifts.
