Under the supervision of the RN Supervisor, this role provides integrated behavioral and physical healthcare within the Crisis Care Center. Responsibilities include medication management, assessing and coordinating physical/medical care, and delivering direct services. The nurse is responsible for the orderly administration and maintenance of medication within Crisis Services and the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). Duties involve supportive services and direct interventions for consumers experiencing severe and persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, and Developmental Disabilities who are in crisis and require stabilization. The role may involve rendering general nursing care and providing medical support in accordance with approved nursing practices. Additional duties may include performing admissions screening, serving as an agency liaison, crisis intervention, case management, patient education, and supporting all programs within the Crisis Care Center. The nurse is responsible for carrying out all activities in a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies, and procedures.
