About The Position
As a Relief Counselor, you support individuals facing mental health challenges and/or developmental disabilities, helping them live independently and beyond their perceived limitations. The role provides direct support care, ensures daily living needs are met, and maintains a safe and inspiring atmosphere. It offers flexibility to accommodate personal, work, and/or school schedules. Relief Counselors contribute to Open Sky Community Services’ mission to enhance the well-being of the people it serves. The position may include an additional hourly differential based on skills, location, training, and the populations served in certain programs; applicants are encouraged to ask their recruiter whether this position qualifies.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support care and ensure individuals’ daily living needs are met.
- Maintain a safe and inspiring atmosphere.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized, person-centered support plans.
- Assist individuals in accessing community resources and/or provide transportation as needed.
- Implement activities that promote skill development, community engagement, personal growth, and meaningful relationships.
- Review and complete required documentation.
