About The Position

Nazareth Home is hiring a Relief Cook for its Clifton campus, a nonprofit long-term care and recovery community serving aging adults. The role is responsible for preparing and serving meals, completing food preparation for the following day, and providing food service to residents, guests, and employees while assisting with dietary functions. The posting lists two openings: a full-time schedule from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and a schedule from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The work location is in person at 2120 Payne Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40206. The rate of pay is $17.00.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two to three years of cooking experience in a long-term health care setting.
• Food Handlers Certificate.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification.
• Ability to reliably commute to Louisville, KY 40206, or plan to relocate before starting work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and production sheets.
• Complete food preparation and maintain meal service schedules.
• Take and record food temperatures.
• Serve meals according to residents’ diet plans.
• Stock unit kitchenettes and assist with dishwashing.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, and service areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Provide food service to residents, guests, and employees and assist with dietary functions.
