About The Position

As a Relationship Manager at FCC, you will be responsible for managing relationships with local producers and developing a loan portfolio. Your role involves tailoring financing packages, including both lending and non-lending products, to meet customer needs and support their success. You will collaborate closely with other departments at FCC to cultivate long-term partnerships, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture focused on learning, innovation, and customer-centricity. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about the agriculture industry, eager to learn, and skilled in building meaningful relationships.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, commerce or a related field
  • Minimum one year of related experience in ag finance, lending, credit analysis, business development or sales (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience communicating financial information or recommendations clearly to customers or internal partners
  • Proven ability to build and maintain business relationships, including engaging with customers, centres of influence or community partners
  • Valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel for customer meetings
  • Passion for agriculture, with knowledge of farming operations or agribusiness environments

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience, ideally in a financial, agricultural or advisory setting
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to build financing packages that meet their business needs
  • Build relationships with FCC customers and internal partners
  • Look for opportunities to build your loan portfolio
  • Travel to customer farms and offices to understand their business needs and provide tailored support
  • Analyze customer financial information
  • Create, process and approve new credit facilities
