About The Position
Wintrust is hiring a full-time Relationship Banker for its Hyde Park location in Chicago, Illinois. The role focuses on building and retaining customer relationships by understanding customers’ financial needs and recommending suitable products and services. The banker contributes to branch success through customer service, teller transactions, account support, risk awareness, and collaboration with specialized business partners. Depending on the shift, the role may include opening or closing the bank and supporting community and bank events.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a customer service, financial service, or sales role.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Retail banking experience preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Build lasting customer relationships, identify financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Collaborate with business partners, including Mortgage and Wealth Management, to connect customers with experts for specialized needs.
- Operate a teller drawer and serve customers in the lobby or drive-up.
- Open accounts, perform account maintenance, and assist customers with digital products.
- Recognize potential fraud and other risks.
- Depending on the shift, help open or close the bank.
- Support community and bank events.
