About The Position
As a Relationship Banker in a Chase branch, you represent the Chase brand and culture by providing welcoming, attentive service and using banking solutions and financial technology to create memorable client experiences. You take a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining client relationships, using financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions that address clients’ needs and contribute to branch success. The position is subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. Employment is contingent on JPMC’s review of relevant background and financial information and ongoing compliance with applicable requirements. The role also requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act, successful registration immediately after the start date, and timely annual renewal and updates. Continued employment depends on compliance with these requirements.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or a related industry, with demonstrated success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the client experience.
- Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including the ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail.
- Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including required training.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, applicable state registration (including Series 63 if required), and Life licenses. Unlicensed applicants must obtain required licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire; study materials and support are provided.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Meet Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements; any felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies applicants from consideration.
- Register with NMLS or update an existing registration as required under the SAFE Act, immediately after the start date, and complete timely annual renewals and required updates.

Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, friendly service and create a welcoming environment that exceeds client expectations.
- Manage assigned clients and meet with them in person and by phone to build relationships, understand financial needs, and recommend tailored products and services.
- Communicate clearly and consultatively, asking questions and listening to understand and anticipate client needs.
- Educate clients about and connect them to technology solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult with clients and connect them with experts for specialized financial needs.
- Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
- Complete required risk and compliance obligations and training.
- Register or update registration with NMLS as required under the SAFE Act, and complete annual renewal and required updates.
