About The Position

As a Relationship Banker in a Chase branch, you represent the Chase brand and culture by providing welcoming, attentive service and using banking solutions and financial technology to create memorable client experiences. You take a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining client relationships, using your financial knowledge to understand needs and recommend thoughtful solutions. You contribute to branch success by helping clients meet their financial needs and connecting them with appropriate products, services, technology, and specialists.

The position requires compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations, along with required licensing and NMLS registration. Employment is contingent on meeting applicable Loan Originator qualification requirements under the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act and complying with the SAFE Act.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or a related industry, with demonstrated success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
• Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the client experience.
• Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including the ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
• Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to work within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
• High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
• Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, applicable state registration (including Series 63 if required), and Life licenses. Unlicensed applicants must obtain licenses through JPMC's licensing program within 180 days of hire; study materials and support are provided.
• Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
• Register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS), or update an existing registration as needed, upon active employment; continued employment depends on SAFE Act compliance, including registration after the start date and timely annual renewal and updates.
• Meet Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements. An employment offer is contingent on JPMC's review of criminal conviction history, credit report, NMLS information, and other relevant information. A felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies applicants.

Responsibilities

• Put clients first by providing attentive, friendly service and creating a welcoming environment.
• Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them in person and by phone to build relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
• Communicate clearly, politely, and consultatively; ask questions and listen to understand and anticipate client needs.
• Educate clients about and connect them to digital banking solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
• Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult with clients about banking solutions.
• Collaborate with and connect clients to team experts for specialized financial needs.
• Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
