About The Position

Johnson Financial Group is hiring temporary Relationship Bankers to support its Consumer Banking team through January 2027. This entry point into branch banking provides a foundation in banking fundamentals, with training and development opportunities for continued professional growth. The Relationship Banker serves as a face of the bank, building meaningful client relationships and recommending solutions for clients’ financial needs. The role is part of a team focused on personal service and community involvement. The position includes teller-line cash transactions, cash drawer and vault balancing, and assisting with daily branch and vault opening and closing. As the banker gains experience, they may manage a small client portfolio and proactively deepen relationships and support client retention. Associates must follow the professional dress code, including Johnson Financial Group logo apparel and a name tag. Exceptions for religious or medical needs require advance Human Resources approval.

Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent is required.
Excellent client service and communication skills.
Genuine care and passion for helping people.
Obtain National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration upon hire.
Follow the professional dress code; religious or medical exceptions require prior Human Resources approval.

Responsibilities

Perform cash-handling transactions on the teller line.
Balance the cash drawer daily and verify cash provided from and returned to the vault.
Assist with daily opening and closing of the branch and vault.
Assist with balancing vault currency and coin, and balance the ATM.
Identify clients’ financial needs and recommend solutions tailored to their situations.
Meet and exceed referral goals to other lines of business.
As the role develops, proactively deepen relationships with a small portfolio of clients and support client retention.
Adhere to the professional dress code, including wearing Johnson Financial Group logo apparel and a name tag.
