About The Position

At Regions, the Relationship Banker II meets with customers and prospects in person and by phone to determine their financial needs and proactively offer appropriate products, services, and guidance to help them achieve their financial goals. The role is suited to candidates with retail or sales experience who want to build a banking career with opportunities for growth and development. The successful candidate is individually driven and competitive, works effectively as part of a team, identifies customer needs, and communicates effectively. The position is based at the Morgan City branch in Morgan City, Louisiana. It requires registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS). The role is incentive-eligible, with participation in commission and formulaic incentive plans. It is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act; time worked in excess of 40 hours per week must be tracked.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and maintaining sustained attention to a monitor.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required.
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to oversee large sums of cash.
Strong relationship-building skills.
Strong communication skills and customer focus.

Responsibilities

Achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance and perspective on Regions’ solutions.
Make outbound calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to expand existing relationships and acquire new customers.
Educate and advise customers on Regions’ consumer and business products and services, including loan and deposit products.
Educate customers about mobile, online, ATM, and other digital banking solutions.
Provide a consistent customer experience, including sharing responsibility for greeting customers and processing transactions.
Take ownership of and resolve customer issues.
Refer customers to internal experts when complex financial goals or needs are identified.
Follow bank processes and procedures and applicable laws and regulations, and complete duties delegated or assigned by the Branch Manager.
As a branch team member, help ensure sound banking practices, including managing, identifying, and reporting operational risks.
Track hours worked in excess of 40 per week.
