About The Position

At Regions, the Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone, while helping improve customers’ financial wellness. The role builds meaningful personal connections while processing transactions, identifies how Regions can meet customer needs, and helps resolve customer service inquiries from start to finish. It is suited to candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who are interested in career growth and development. The successful candidate is ambitious and adaptable, communicates well, and can provide personalized service while educating customers about banking options. This position is based at the New Halls Ferry location in Florissant, Missouri. It is full-time, incentive-eligible, and eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week. The posted market-range target lists a minimum of $39,601.10 and a median of $46,880.00; actual pay varies based on factors including experience, skills, location, and performance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustaining attention to a monitor.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to oversee large sums of cash.
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Provide an optimal customer experience on the cash line while processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
Answer customer inquiries about products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests, including card issuance or replacement, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution.
Develop customer relationships and remain informed about customers’ relationships with the bank.
Educate customers about standard consumer products and digital banking solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
Assist branch colleagues with basic tasks that help resolve customer problems.
Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals or needs are identified.
Follow bank processes and procedures and applicable laws and regulations; complete duties delegated or assigned by the Branch Manager and help manage, identify, and report operational risks.
Contribute to branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance on Regions’ solutions.
May make outbound calls to customers and prospects from generated lead lists to explain emerging technology and help meet financial needs.
