About The Position

The Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone while helping improve customers’ financial wellness. The role creates personal connections during transactions, identifies ways to meet customer needs, and helps resolve customer service inquiries. It is intended for candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who are interested in career growth and development. The successful candidate is ambitious and adaptable, communicates well, and is able to provide personalized service and educate customers about their banking options. The position is based at the Frayser Hollywood branch in Memphis, Tennessee. It is full-time, incentive-eligible, and eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The role requires tracking hours worked in excess of 40 per week. The listed market range target is a minimum of $37,621.05 and a median of $44,536.00; pay varies based on factors including experience, skills, contribution, location, and performance.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to oversee large sums of cash.
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.

Nice To Haves

One year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience.
Prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience.

Responsibilities

Provide an optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
Answer customer inquiries about products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests, including card requests, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution.
Develop relationships with customers and remain informed about their relationship with the bank.
Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital banking solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
Assist branch colleagues with basic tasks to help resolve customer problems.
Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals and needs are identified.
Follow bank processes and procedures and applicable laws and regulations, including duties assigned by the Branch Manager.
Help ensure sound banking practices by managing, identifying, and reporting operational risks.
Achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing guidance about Regions’ solutions.
May make outbound calls from customer and prospect lead lists to explain emerging technology and assist with customers’ financial needs.
Track time worked in excess of 40 hours per week.
