About The Position

The Rehabilitation Technician supports patient care in the Acute Rehabilitation setting at Powers Health Rehabilitation Center. The role helps prepare patients for prescribed treatment and assists professional staff with treatment. It also supports the Therapy Department by maintaining treatment areas and equipment, managing therapy supplies, and performing routine clerical tasks. The position requires transporting, lifting, transferring, moving, and repositioning patients in patient rooms, the Therapy Gym, and other common hospital areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• CPR/BCLS certification.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Six to twelve months of relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Transport, lift, transfer, move, and reposition patients in patient rooms, the Therapy Gym, and other common areas of the hospital.
• Prepare patients for prescribed treatment and assist professional staff with patient treatment.
• Prepare, clean, and maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Procure and maintain an accurate inventory of therapy supplies.
• Perform routine clerical tasks for the Therapy Department.
