About The Position

Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Arlington is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician to support patient care in an inpatient acute rehabilitation setting. The technician follows care tasks determined by the OTR/RPT, helps patients work toward therapy goals, transports patients safely, and communicates with the rehabilitation team. The role also includes observing patient responses to treatment, following instructions accurately, and handling equipment and supplies safely. The position is listed as PRN.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification, as required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to transport patients and use safe lifting techniques, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Observation and basic documentation skills.
• Reliability, teamwork, and time management.

Nice To Haves

• 6–12 months of relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting is strongly recommended.
• Willingness to participate in on-the-job training after orientation.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient care tasks determined by the OTR/RPT to help patients achieve therapy goals.
• Safely transport patients to and from therapy and other activities.
• Communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with members of the rehabilitation team.
• Observe and recognize patient reactions to treatment and follow instructions accurately.
• Lift and carry equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis using proper body mechanics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
