About The Position

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a Rehabilitation Services Technician to join its Acute Care team. The role supports rehabilitation care by maintaining patient care areas, equipment, and supplies, and assisting with patient care under the guidance and direction of a licensed rehabilitation professional. The technician uses patient care modalities while demonstrating essential skill competencies, communicates with patients, families, medical staff, healthcare team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts, and completes administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit. Additional duties may be assigned.

This is a full-time, day-shift position scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some rotating weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.

• Experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient care areas, equipment, and supplies in accordance with facility policy.
• Assist with patient care under the guidance and direction of a licensed rehabilitation professional, demonstrating essential skill competencies in the use of patient care modalities.
• Communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with patients, families, medical staff, healthcare team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
• Complete administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
