Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care Rehabilitation
About The Position
Community Medical Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join its Acute Care Rehabilitation team in Missoula, Montana. The nurse provides patient-centered care to people recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or neurological conditions, supporting their recovery, functional independence, and preparation for discharge. The role works collaboratively with nurses, therapists, physicians, and support staff in a supportive, team-focused environment. The schedule is nights from 1900 to 0730, two 12-hour shifts, with weekend and holiday rotations according to the union contract.
Requirements
- Current Montana RN license or Compact RN License with Montana endorsement.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.
- At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- 2–3 years of acute care nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or neurological conditions.
- Assess patient needs, monitor progress, and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments while promoting patient safety and positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support recovery and functional independence.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, self-care, and discharge preparation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and respond effectively to changes in patient condition.
