About The Position
This position is responsible for preparing patients for treatment, assisting therapists, and maintaining the Therapy Department. The aide plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department and supporting patient care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for treatment by therapist; assists therapists during therapy.
- Transports patients, independently, to and from department using stretcher or wheelchair.
- Maintains equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition.
- Assists professional staff in ordering supplies; orders linens and maintains linen closet in a neat and orderly condition.
- Places patients in position for treatment and assists in transfers.
- Assembles and places equipment and supplies for use.
- Performs a variety of duties essential to the function of the department such as taking messages, entering and retrieving basic information into/from computer, performing messenger duties, etc.
- Transports equipment and supplies.
- Assists in workshops, as required.
- Performs related duties as required.
