About The Position

Prepares patients for treatment, assists therapists in treating patients, and maintains the Therapy Department in a neat and orderly fashion. The role also supports essential departmental functions by transporting patients, equipment, and supplies; maintaining equipment and work areas; and performing basic administrative and messenger duties. Related duties may also be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for treatment and assists therapists during therapy.
• Transports patients independently to and from the department using a stretcher or wheelchair.
• Maintains equipment and working areas in a clean, orderly condition.
• Assists professional staff in ordering supplies; orders linens and maintains the linen closet in a neat and orderly condition.
• Places patients in position for treatment and assists with transfers.
• Assembles and places equipment and supplies for use.
• Performs departmental support duties, including taking messages, entering and retrieving basic information using a computer, and performing messenger duties.
• Transports equipment and supplies.
• Assists in workshops as required.
• Performs related duties as required.
