About The Position

The Rehabilitation Aide assists with clinical and administrative coordination for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services. Much of the work involves preparing treatment areas and equipment for patients, transporting patients to and from the department, assisting with routine ambulation and therapeutic techniques, cleaning, and clerical assignments. This is a per diem, variable Monday–Friday position with an 8-hour day shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare provider CPR certification.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Ability to walk continuously, alternating with standing.
• Ability to lift frequently and to move or assist patients weighing up to 300 pounds or more with help from other staff members using proper body mechanics.
• Ability to frequently carry 20–30 pounds for distances up to 100 feet.
• Ability to frequently push and pull, bend, crouch, crawl, squat, assume awkward positions, and climb stairs.
• Vision correctable to within normal limits.
• Hearing sufficient to respond to emergency situations for staff and patient safety.
