About The Position

The Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I supports rehabilitation therapists and contributes to patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role assists with therapists’ daily patient-care and therapy activities, helps communicate with patients, families, and caregivers, and collaborates with the healthcare team to maintain safety and deliver patient-centered treatment. Responsibilities also include preparing and transporting patients according to the schedule and communicating observations and outcomes of care activities to therapists.

Requirements

• Have completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred, unless hospital policy requires otherwise.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists’ daily patient-care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate observations and outcomes of patient-care activities to therapists.
