About The Position

The Rehab Aide II provides patient care within regulatory requirements and performs a broad range of non-patient-related tasks to support the department and staff. Duties may include cleaning and setting up patient treatment areas, moving patients, and performing clerical work. The role builds confidence and cooperation with patients, their families or support groups, and healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. The aide follows local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to protect privacy and safety and support optimal patient care.

This is a per diem/casual, non-exempt position with Sutter Clinic – Sansum Clinic. The schedule is days, Monday through Friday, with eight-hour shifts and no weekend requirements. The listed pay range is $25.00 to $35.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS – Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year of recent relevant experience.
• Ability to work in a demanding environment, organize multiple priorities, and complete duties within expected timelines and requirements.
• Computer and required technology proficiency or competencies.
• Professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Conflict-resolution, teamwork and collaboration, customer-service, and community-relations skills.
• Ability to retain and apply new knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform non-patient-related tasks that support the department and staff.
• Clean and set up patient treatment areas as needed.
• Move patients as needed.
• Perform clerical duties as needed.
• Build patient and care-team confidence and cooperation through patient assessment, monitoring, and effective communication.
• Follow applicable regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety.
