About The Position

The Regulatory Analyst is responsible for independently performing core regulatory compliance services in a timely and efficient manner for the E&S Compliance Team of W.R. Berkley Corporation, including completing compliance processes and supporting documentation of compliance for businesses served by the Group Compliance Team.

Requirements

Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work under time constraints and be self-motivated
Ability to work independently
Minimum 1-3 years of insurance-related experience

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Westlaw, Nexis/Lexis, Walters Kluwer, or similar subscription services
Prior legal or regulatory compliance experience
Prior paralegal experience
Insurance designations (ASLI, CPCU, etc.) or college-level coursework

Responsibilities

Divide adjuster and appointments work with other team members and process new licenses and renewals
Process appointments in various licensing systems as required
Receive and process new and follow-up consumer complaints
Contact states for needed extensions related to complaints
Send reminders to enterprise staff for responses and file responses with documentation with states
Maintain file documentation and management as part of final responses to states
Process legal mail and provide coverage for answering phone calls to the Regulatory line as needed
Communicate with regulators as needed in coordination with direction from the Manager
Handle and aggregate data calls with other team members
Process premium by broker reporting as required
Provide back-up coverage for OFAC and process OFAC alerts in Lexis Nexis and manually as needed
Assist Claims operations as needed for Medicare compliance
Attend trade organization webinars and training sessions to stay informed on industry trends, insurance regulations, and the role
Perform other duties as assigned
