About The Position

This course is intended for students with no prior knowledge of Italian. The goal is to acquire fundamental speaking, reading, and writing skills in Italian. The curriculum includes vocabulary and grammar study, oral and written practice, and computer-assisted learning, incorporating music and video. This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the Elementary Italian I course (ITA1911 Section D) during the 2026 Fall Semester at the Main Campus, within the Faculty of Arts, Department of Modern Languages and Literatures.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Italian or equivalent.
  • Italian-speaking or near-native linguistic competence in Italian.
  • Experience in teaching Italian at beginner levels at the university.
  • Bilingual (French and English).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in creating and managing virtual content, as well as applications related to virtual teaching.
  • Experience with Brightspace.
