About The Position

This comprehensive course examines the articulation of family and life trajectories with other fields of sociology (work, culture, politics, ethnic relations, development). The course stresses the intersection of gender and age relations. The course establishes a link between sociology and other social sciences and humanities (anthropology, history, psychoanalysis, philosophy, literature, political science, economics, and demography).

Requirements

  • PhD in sociology.
  • Track record demonstrating expertise in Family, Life Trajectories, and Society studies, evidenced by previous teaching experience in a similar course at the graduate level or through publications in the field.
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Family, Life Trajectories, and Society course (SOC4104 Section A00) during the 2026 Fall Semester.
  • Conduct the course in English.
  • Deliver the course in person on Thursdays from 19:00 to 22:00.
