About The Position

The Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies, is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor for ANT3326 A00, Indigenous Resurgences in a Globalized World, during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course will analyze the movements of reappropriation and revaluation of Indigenous identities, emphasizing local processes of self-determination, transnational networks of solidarities, the global circulation of discourses, knowledges and practices, and the diversity of colonial postcolonial contexts that modulate them. Requirements

M.A. in anthropology and completed anthropology Ph.D. coursework or a more advanced training in anthropology.
Demonstrable track record of expertise in the field of indigenous resurgences in a globalized world in the form of previous teaching experience in the same or similar course or through publications in the field.
Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
Ability to teach in English.

An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Competence in a second language (Passive).

Responsibilities

Teach ANT3326 A00, Indigenous Resurgences in a Globalized World.
Analyze movements of reappropriation and revaluation of Indigenous identities.
