About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach SOC2109 A00: Social Psychology and Everyday Life during the 2027 Winter Semester. The course focuses on the theories, concepts, and methods of social psychology and the microsociological analysis of everyday life, with an emphasis on socialization, presentation of self, group dynamics, and symbolic interaction. The course is taught in English and is scheduled to meet in person on Tuesdays from 16:00 to 17:30 and Thursdays from 14:30 to 16:00. The expected enrollment is 225 students, and the course is worth 3 credits.

Requirements

  • M.A. in sociology or more advanced training in sociology
  • Demonstrable track record of expertise in Social Psychology and Everyday Life (previous teaching experience in the same or similar course or publications in the field)
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training (as may be modified by provincial law)
