About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach the course PSY6551 Section A00, "Drogues et comportement", during the Winter 2027 semester. The course focuses on the study of current neurochemical and neuropharmacological techniques applicable to the study of normal and pathological behaviour, with a critical evaluation of these techniques as they relate to animal and human behaviour. Requirements

  • Doctorate in Psychology
  • Documented expertise in psychopharmacology, biological psychology, or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of neurochemical and neuropharmacological techniques applicable to the study of normal and pathological behaviour
  • Demonstrated competency incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in teaching and/or training
  • Competence in French (language of instruction)
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course "Drogues et comportement" (PSY6551 Section A00) during the Winter 2027 semester.
  • Deliver the course in-person as per the assigned mode of delivery.
  • Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat promptly if a class needs to be cancelled.
  • Arrange a suitable replacement instructor in advance of any known absence.
  • Incorporate equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in teaching and/or training.
  • Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
