About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach CMN2130-A00, Interpersonal Communication, during the 2027 Winter Semester in the Department of Communication at the Faculty of Arts. The course focuses on major theories and techniques related to the analysis of interpersonal communication, as well as communication in professional and social situations. The course will be offered in person and is scheduled for Tuesdays from 11:30 to 13:00 and Fridays from 13:00 to 14:30. The expected enrollment is 95 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The hourly rate for teaching is $239.47 (2024-2025 rates), which does not include vacation or statutory pay. These rates are subject to change upon ratification of a new collective agreement, with retroactivity applied after ratification. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in communication or related discipline.
• Excellent knowledge of theories in Interpersonal Communication.
• An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
