The Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach the course POL4163 - Sexual and Gender Diversity Politics during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course will study sexual and gender diversity, including sexual orientation and gender identity and expression, and their relationship to identity construction. It will also examine sexual and gender diversity as political phenomena, including social movement politics, representation within formal political institutions, and the role of the state and public policy, with case studies. The course is expected to have an enrolment of 40 students and is worth 3 credits. The course will be offered in person, but the teaching method may be modified due to public health measures or other reasons.
