About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Crisis Communication (CMN4132-C00) during the Winter 2027 semester at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Arts, Department of Communication. The course will cover fundamental principles of crisis communication in organizations, analysis of crisis communication techniques through real-world cases, and the development of communication plans for crisis situations. The course is scheduled to be offered in person on Mondays from 13:00 to 14:30 and Wednesdays from 11:30 to 13:00. The expected enrollment is 35 students, and the course is worth 3 credits.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.A. in Communication (preferably).
• Professional experience or expertise directly related to the course content.
• Employees are under provincial law required to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
• All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
