About The Position
The Department of Philosophy at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach PHI1102-C00, Moral Reasoning, during the 2026 Fall Semester. This course focuses on developing fundamental skills in moral reasoning through the study of ethical issues and the criteria used in justifying or evaluating actions. The course is taught in English and will be delivered in person on Wednesdays from 13:00 to 14:20 and Fridays from 11:30 to 12:50. The expected enrollment is 142 students, and the course is worth 3 credits.
Requirements
- Ph.D in Philosophy.
- Experience in teaching at university level in Philosophy.
- Competence in a second language: N/A
- Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
