About The Position

The Faculty of Science, Department of Biology at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach BIO2129, Section A00, Ecology, during the Fall 2026 semester. This course provides an introduction to ecological systems, including population dynamics, community structure, energy and nutrient flows, and the relationship between ecological goods and services. The course involves field and lab exercises to expose students to ecological study design, experimentation, sampling, and data analysis. Requirements

Postdoctoral training in the appropriate area of Biology.
Evidence of success as a teacher at the relevant university level.
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

Teach BIO2129, Section A00, Ecology, during the Fall 2026 semester.
Conduct field and lab exercises to expose students to basic principles in ecological study design, experimentation and sampling, data analysis, and illustrate important ecological processes.
