About The Position

This is a new position for the Fall 2026 semester in the Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Political Studies. The course, POL4930 A00, is a bilingual seminar focusing on the study of major contributions to the analysis of international relations and world politics, and the application of key theories and approaches in this field. The seminar will be taught in alternating French and English weeks. It is reserved for students enrolled in interdisciplinary and specialized programs in political science or the international studies and modern languages program. The expected enrollment is 24 students, and the course is worth 3 credits.

Requirements

  • Doctorate or doctoral coursework in the field of the announced course.
  • Teaching experience in the field.
  • This course is posted for PhD students.
  • Clearly indicate skills and qualifications in the CV.
  • Applicants who have never taught a course at the University of Ottawa must submit information describing their previous teaching experiences or training in their CV or supplementary documents (article 10.9.2).
  • Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
