About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position in the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Public and International Affairs, for the Fall 2026 semester. The course is ECH4327 A00, Philosophy of Rights. The course description is: « An introduction to the history of the philosophy of human rights. Reading of historical as well as contemporary texts. Includes case studies in health care, migration, and family rights. » The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The hourly rate for teaching is $239.47 (2024-2025), which does not include vacation or statutory pay. These rates are applicable until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid after ratification. Requirements

PhD completed or in the process of being completed with a specialization in conflict studies and human rights
University teaching experience is an asset
Acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience
Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law
