About The Position
Theories about the relations between media, power elites, and mass culture. Study of the main American and European schools of thought. From the technological (McLuhan prophecies) to the symbolic and socio-political dimensions (feminist and cultural studies).
Requirements
- Ph.D. or M.A. in Communication (preferably).
- Professional experience or expertise directly related to the course content.
- Excellent knowledge of theories of the media.
- Ability to teach in English.

- Teaching experience related to the course.
Responsibilities
- Teach Theories of the Media course (CMN2160 Section C00) during the Winter 2027 semester.
- Deliver the course in person.
- Adhere to the course schedule: Thursday 19:00-22:00.
- Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
