About The Position

The Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Political Studies is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Administrative Reforms (PAP4330, Section A00) for the Fall 2026 semester. This course will analyze administrative reforms of recent decades and their consequences, focusing on political and institutional factors affecting reforms in public administrations, initiatives regarding the modernization of the comptrollership function and performance-based management, and comparisons with other countries. The course is expected to have an enrolment of 40 students and is offered in English. The teaching method may be modified due to public health measures or other reasons. Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Ph.D. coursework in the field of Administrative Reforms.
  • Teaching experience in the field.
  • Competence in a second language (French implied by context of bilingual university).
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
  • Ability to apply for positions through the appropriate worker profile if currently an active employee of the University of Ottawa.
