About The Position

The University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Microeconomic Theory III (ECO-3153 Section C00) during the Winter 2027 semester. This course covers neo-classical theories of consumption and production, optimization problems, uncertainty, partial and general equilibrium, and the first welfare theorem. It may also include topics such as game theory, externalities, public goods, and asymmetric information. The course is taught in English and is scheduled for Thursdays from 19:00 to 22:00. Requirements

PhD degree in economics with specialization in the area of the course.
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

Responsibilities

Teach Microeconomic Theory III (ECO-3153 Section C00) during the Winter 2027 semester.
Cover neo-classical theories of consumption and production, focus on primal and dual optimization problems; uncertainty; partial and general equilibrium, first welfare theorem and Pareto efficiency.
Potentially treat one or more of the following topics: game theory, externalities and public goods; asymmetric information.
