About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach ANT6103 A00, The "Culture" Question in Anthropology, during the Fall 2026 semester. The course will provide a historical and critical in-depth analysis of the contributions and limitations of the notion of 'culture' in anthropology, focusing on major disciplinary issues such as identity transformations, decolonization, socio-economic upheavals, migration, global dynamics, pluralism, multiculturalism, and interculturalism. The course is scheduled to meet on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and will be delivered in person. Requirements

  • PhD in anthropology.
  • Demonstrable track record of expertise in the field of the ‘Culture’ Question in Anthropology, evidenced by previous teaching experience in the same or similar course or through publications in the field.
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
  • Ability to comply with the current APTPUO collective agreements.
  • Proficiency in English (language of instruction).

Responsibilities
